Vernon Simmons was born to Vernon and Shelby Simmons in 1971. I grew up in Troy, NC, where I started singing at an early age. My father and brothers would sit on our front porch and play music on Saturday nights, and I would listen to the harmony of the old gospel songs like “The Old Rugged Cross” and “How Great Thou Art”, and I knew there was something special about that great God they were singing about. When I was ten I gave my heart to the Lord and began to sing anytime I could sneak the mic away from our preacher, and at revival services around Troy and Asheboro. In 2003 I made a call to the Trinity Quartet about a song I heard on the radio. Mike asked me if I sang tenor and 8 years later I’m still here. What an honor to sing in a quartet and still see souls saved to a song or testimony. Today I live in Asheboro, NC with my wife, Tammy, of 17 years. I want to thank her for sharing and supporting me in this ministry. My desire is that God use me and this group through His Son to see souls saved.

Michael Toney is the lead and manager of Trinity Quartet. Born and raised in Burlington, NC, Michael accepted the Lord his senior year of high school at the age of sixteen. Billy Graham came to Williams High School in 1969 and held Revival in the gym all week long. Michael was there every night and on Friday night he accepted the Lord as his personal savior. Soon he drifted away and started singing in night clubs and country music bars. This went on for many years. In 1990 he rededicated his life back to the Lord and started singing gospel music. He started singing with the Dosse’s in a mixed quartet. Two years later he started his own trio, “Trinity”. A few years later Trinity became, Trinity Quartet. I would like to thank all the people that have been in Trinity Quartet or the years. Each one will always have a special place in my heart. I am thankful for the opportunity to sing the message in song to a lost and dying world, and be an encouragement to believers. I am married to my wife, Tina. Tina also runs the sound for the group. We have two children, Austin & Heather. We go to Trindale Community Church in Trinity, NC, where Ottis Collins is the pastor.

I hope to see you in a service. May God Bless!

First and foremost I want to thank Jesus Christ for the price he paid for me at the cross. I thank him for calling me to sing for His glory. I started singing when I was a child at church. My life has not always been lived as a Christian. I accepted Jesus as my savior a few years ago. Ever since then I have been called to sing in southern gospel quartets. I sang with the Father’s Four out of Thomasville and then God open the door for me to sing with the Trinity Quartet. My family and I live in Thomasville, which consists of my wife, Stacie, and our two sons, Ethan and Elijah. I count it a privilege to sing for the Lord Jesus.

I have been traveling with Trinity Quartet and running sound for them since 1993. This is a calling that my husband Michael felt from the Lord, years ago. I was saved when I was 13 years old. I’ve been serving the Lord a long time. I thank the Lord for all he’s done for me. He’s given me a wonderful husband a great son, Austin and a beautiful daughter in law, and a precious grand daughter. We also have a little 4.7 pound toy fox terrier. I love my life and I thank the Lord every day for waking me up and giving me another day.
